Circles  (May 2025)

Pseudo-situationist performance wherein a rigged-up printer motor is attached to a spinning disk. Audience members are encouraged to draw centripetally on the disk with paint to influence a reflexive webcam feed which is being aurally modulated with Isadora via 2 microphones (contact and dynamic),  echo and delay guitar pedals, and Ableton Live.

The resulting image is projected back onto itself, superimposed onto the raw feed.

The speed of the motor is controlled by the performer via a variable-wattage power supply,  giving the illusion of control.
