A late night reveals that only through prolonged monotony do we realize the absence of wonder's potency.

With a contact mic mounted on a set of playground bars, I strike different parts of the playground itself, at varying distances from the contact mic.

What results is a series of tones ringing out from the impact, most likely from the hollow nature of the metal used.

Eventually, I take 2 legs off of a mini tripod and start to walk around the playground, using them as makeshift drumsticks to create sounds that are both literally and perceived as closer or farther away.
